Reflection 

It is very important as a Special Education teacher to know and understand the Policies Governing Services for Children with Disabilities.  It is also important to understand the process of providing special education services, from the referral, to the delivery of services.  By becoming knowledgeable about providing services to students with special needs, teachers can educate parents on ways that they can help their student to become successful academically.   Teachers must also know where they can find information  and resources for specific disabilities in order to provide the appropriate services for students.  The link above explains the process of providing a student with special education services.
