Rashawn Grissom

MEd Special Education
My name is Rashawn Grissom and I am currently a 1st grade teacher in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Winston-Salem State University where I minored in Special Education. While pursuing my minor, I proved to myself and professors that I would make a great teacher. I wanted to become a special education teacher, based off of my field experiences in the regular education classrooms. I saw many special needs students being ignored and looked over. This inspired me to want to make a difference in the lives of special needs children. I believe that ALL children can learn, they just need teachers willing to sacrifice the time and patience to teach them. I am and want to be that teacher.
